Greetings! I am Matiss, the author of the StatsWithMatiss blog. I am an avid football watcher and data enthusiast who aims to present the analytical side of football in a visually appealing and engaging way.
With great passion and long hours staring at the computer screen, I have acquired:

What I do
In this StatsWithMatiss blog, I combine my love of football with my knowledge of data analytics to provide an in-depth look at this beautiful game. Using tools such as Power BI, Python, Excel, I create engaging graphics and detailed analyzes that help fans understand the finer nuances of football that are not immediately apparent.
How I do that
Power BI: I use Power BI to create interactive reports that allow anyone to drill down into the statistics they're interested in with just a few clicks. I work with both Power Query and DAX to process the data and extract the information I need. In these reports, you can compare player performance on the field, view game attendance information, and many other things. But the main thing is to create entertaining and informative content for fans.
Python: With the help of Python, I am able to create visualizations that I could not create with any other tool. In Python, I mainly use the pandas, numpy, matplotlib, mplsoccer libraries to be able to acquire and process large amounts of data, as well as present them in a visually pleasing form.
Excel: All data processing and analytics started with Excel, which is still a powerful tool, I use it when I know it will save me time or a task is easier to complete than with another program. Also, Excel mostly holds all the data I use to create Power BI reports.
Why I do that
I believe that football is not just a game, it is something more, and often in this, at first glance, apparent chaos, insights can be found that can be expressed in numbers and presented as stories. My goal is to provide you not only with entertaining visualizations and statistics, but also with meaningful information that can improve your understanding of football and create additional value.
